1. Who we are

BestCruising.com is operated by Oceanic Travel LLC, a limited liability company registered in California and a CLIA-certified cruise agency. Using this site means you accept these terms.

2. What we do, and what we are not

We act as a travel agent. We research sailings, make recommendations and arrange bookings with cruise lines and other travel suppliers on your behalf.

We are not the operator of any cruise. The cruise line is the principal and supplies the holiday. Your contract for the cruise itself is with that line, on their terms and conditions, which you should read before confirming a booking. Their terms govern cabin assignment, itinerary changes, cancellation, refunds and conduct on board.

3. Fees

We charge you no booking fee, service fee or consultation fee. Our commission is paid by the cruise line and is included in the fare whether you book through us or direct.

4. Fares and availability

Fares shown on this site are lead-in prices per guest based on double occupancy and exclude taxes, port fees and gratuities unless stated. Cruise lines change fares and availability continuously and without notice.

Nothing on this site is an offer. No price is binding until we confirm it with you and the cruise line accepts the booking. If a fare shown here is wrong or has changed, we will tell you the correct price before anything is booked and you are free to walk away.

5. Bookings, payment and cancellation

Deposits, payment schedules, cancellation penalties and refunds are set by the cruise line, not by us, and vary considerably between lines and fare types. We will tell you the applicable terms before you commit. Once a deposit is paid, the line's cancellation schedule applies.

Some fares are non-refundable from the moment of booking. Where that is the case we will say so explicitly.

6. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for giving us accurate names exactly as they appear on travel documents — cruise lines charge to correct them and may refuse boarding where they do not match. You are also responsible for holding valid passports, visas, vaccinations and any other entry requirements for your itinerary, and for checking those requirements before you travel.

We strongly recommend travel insurance covering cancellation, medical treatment and evacuation.

7. Content on this site

Ship specifications, itineraries and descriptions are supplied by cruise lines and third-party data providers. We take care to keep them accurate but do not warrant that they are error-free or current. Advisory content reflects our opinion and is not a guarantee of any experience.

8. Limitation of liability

We are liable for our own negligence in arranging your booking. We are not liable for the acts or omissions of cruise lines or other suppliers, nor for events outside our reasonable control including weather, itinerary changes, mechanical failure, port closures, illness or government action.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the commission we received on the booking concerned. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when. Bookings are governed by the terms in force when they were made.
